As the host, the Vietnam Real Estate Association (VNREA) has clearly demonstrated its proactive role in connecting and leading regional cooperation. Dr. Lawyer Doan Van Binh – Vice President of VNREA, Chairman of CEO Group, as the host, has chaired many important activities, affirming the position of Vietnam’s real estate in the ASEAN region.

New step in ASEAN real estate cooperation

One of the important highlights of the event was the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between VNREA and national members in ARENA taking place on February 15, 2025. On behalf of VNREA, Dr. Lawyer Doan Van Binh affirmed: “This signing ceremony is a milestone showing that VNREA is proactive and pioneering in connecting and building strategic partnerships with international real estate organizations. Through this cooperation, the parties will share experiences, knowledge and create new investment opportunities, contributing to improving governance efficiency and promoting professional integration of the regional real estate industry.”

 The signing ceremony not only enhances VNREA’s position in the international arena, but also creates momentum for the ASEAN Real Estate Alliance (ARENA) to develop to a new height after this event.

Solving the affordable housing problem – An perspective from ASEAN 

In addition to the meeting of the Council of Presidents, the program also included the “International Talk on Affordable Housing and ASEAN’s Experience for Vietnam”. This is a hot issue in the Vietnam’s real estate market, when the low-cost housing segment almost “disappeared” in the period 2021 – 2024.

Speaking at the International Talk, Dr. Lawyer Doan Van Binh said that VNREA has been conducting a scientific research on the affordable commercial housing market, with the aim of finding suitable solutions to bring low-cost housing back to the market, ensuring a more reasonable supply structure. The Talk was an opportunity for VNREA and the Research Team to listen to in-depth sharing from ASEAN experts, thereby gaining more practical perspectives to perfect solutions for Vietnam. 

Phu Quoc – the new enter of international conferences 

The fact that ARENA 2025 was held in Phu Quoc, not only enhances the position of the island city on the regional real estate map, but also affirms the ability to organize major international events at CEO Group’s 5-star resorts, such as Novotel Phu Quoc Resort, Best Western Premier Sonasea Phu Quoc Resort and Sonasea Villas & Resort. 

This is also an important stepping stone for Phu Quoc to prepare for the APEC 2027, where the island city will welcome Heads of State and thousands of international delegates. From a tourist paradise, Phu Quoc is becoming an international event center, playing an important role in Vietnam’s development strategy in the New Era. 

ARENA 2025 has come to a successful end, but the journey has only just begun.
